I was so grateful to get the chance to spend two months learning about and working with leather to make handbags and shoes. During this independent study, I designed and patterned these asymmetrical boots and sandals simultaneously using tape, paper and a shoe last. I then cut out the leather pieces and assembled them by sewing, glueing and hammering the pieces over the last.
